Britney Spears officially lost her kids for the second time today and go figure her song 'Gimme More' is number 3 on the billboard charts. Irony, it really seems like she did not want to keep her kids, as if it was just too much to take care of them anymore...her behavior would all seem like a calculated cry for help except that she does not seem to want any...or maybe she has??? She has a reason to be angry if you consider that her Dad is an alcoholic and her Mom allowed her to be prostituted out to sell albums before she was 18...really....just think about it. Chances are if she just dealt with those issues she would stop drinking and doing drugs and being scarily comfortable acting like a very needy girl who lets people take advantage of her.
Second, in a sense her problems with Kevin Federline seem fair if one considers that she knowingly took up with a man who had another woman pregnant with his second kid! Sure she didn't know at first on her tour in 2004 when she met him... but then she did find out a few months later in the Spring of 2004 and it bothered her enough that she was crying about it in public, see Us Weekly magazines from that time. Yet she continued on anyways with Kevin Federline..in a way maybe she did Shar Jackson a favor by taking him out of a relationship with Jackson...of course Kevin is the one who left Jackson. And it was Jackson who then ended up being the savior that took care of Britney's kids while she was in rehab because you know Kevin Federline isn't really taking care of them....and still isn't now..I hope he's sharing some divorce money with Jackson...especially after leaving her to carry out her pregnancy alone...
KF is an interesting guy running from one rich woman to the next, getting them pregnant and moving on...makes you wonder who he will impregnate and get money from next...
Anyways, so if you haven't figured this out, You Tube is full of clips about Britney Spears with everything from a clip called Britney stoned to pictures of Britney with the song 'Love Stoned' by Justin Timberlake running...and every song from her album set to youtuber montages of her and the official 'Gimme More' video. Really, I've put a number of songs on here, but I think if you have the time, you can hear her whole album. The entire album is on You Tube at this point..and it seems to be doing well by the views per video. The Gimme More video is badly shot, seriously it skips all the sexy moves that she does..which I thought was the point of the video..maybe because they don't look very sexy at the time. Also, the shots with her 'blonde' personality don't make sense without some explanation........obviously she considers her 'brunette' self to be more sexy....since that is the on at the stripper pole...hmmm.
One song sticks out called 'Love is a State of Grace', it's very catchy...and well made..hope it's not about Kevin Federline. Do you think anyone in her circle knows what the meaning of 'state of grace' means in Christian terms??? The youtube video for this song is a little scary- there are several youtube videos where they portray Britney Spears in a way that makes one feel as if they are at her funeral or memorial....
The song Baby Boy is complete with a Kevin Federline look alike...it's actually depressing, it seems like she still likes him, or wants people to think that for marketing reasons, to sell albums.
'Cold as Ice' is very close in sound and quality to Fergie's song Fergilicious...also she says the F-word...Now Miss Britney that's not very nice. Her voice is so high, the song sounds a little too high and girly....with some weird notes..but I can see the song being popular, it's really catchy...'I'm cold as fire, hot as ice, if you never been to heaven, this is twice as nice.'
Really? Sometimes the music seems weird because she is not the cute little tiny Britney she once was....she's a woman who has had two kids with a scuzzy ex husband. Check out the transformation in this youtube video that goes with the song from her album 'Let Me Be'...wonder what that's about???
Here is an interesting Eurthymics riffed song called 'Everybody' from Britney's new album. I was always a sucker for the original, although this new song is just about dancing and being turned on...like most Britney songs. And there are no truth scorching ideas being relayed in the lyrics of the song.
'Piece of Me' is harsh, she's definitely mad the the paparazzi, the thing is, didn't she realize that she would end up with this kind of attention when she set out to be a star??? She apparently tried to get a job as a bartender again...it seems like she just wants to be normal again...and maybe would not have pursued fame if she had to do it all again....
And she is rapping now...like Kevin? I hope he did not write this song. It Feels Nice ...
There are some weird street references that just don't fit the whole Britney Spears persona..although with her problems lately...maybe it's not that strange. Also this song has some very raw recording sounds and mixing....that are not in line with the polished work she has done before.....
'You're Heaven on Earth'
So I have figured out why I like this album, it's very Depeche Mode, 80's and industrial influenced...don't get me wrong, it's still pop, but these elements are there...it's too bad she put this out now when it doesn't seem to matter because she is crazy....maybe she will get over it, maybe she is having the childhood she never got, but that doesn't seem to be something that has worked out well for other celebrities...say for example: Michael Jackson?

Give Posh A Chance!
Sorry with all three blogs going and the one on Politics booming, and hand surgery this blog is going down fast.
I just wanted to comment that I found the new show on Posh Beckham that ran for an hour last night on NBC to be funny. She's obviously smarter than Paris since she made her way on her own and worked for it first in a girl band. And I think her 'major' life is what makes the show funny, she knows she is funny and that her life is a bit ridiculous to regular people-that's charming.
Don't kid yourself Americans like watching celebrities up close, we just don't like ones that are completely unaware and well...just clueless. As an example: I've just come to the conclusion that Paris Hilton is functionally retarded, and the joke is on us because the American public believes she is functional.
This show on Posh is just better suited to a cable channel, the birthplace of reality tv anyways. Maybe E! or VH1 could have run it and done it better.

Ordinary People Ordinary Non Heroes
This article and its' quote below go rather well with my previous post.
Oh and this is such a relief, FINALLY! No more of that stupid twit. Actually, I'm starting to think she is the Rose Kennedy of the Hilton family and they have just had us duped this whole time.
The "Great Man" theory of history is usually attributed to the Scottish philosopher Thomas Carlyle, who wrote that "the history of the world is but the biography of great men." He believed that it is the few, the powerful and the famous who shape our collective destiny as a species. That theory took a serious beating this year.

An Unmighty Heart.
This recent deridment of the film a Might Heart was interesting, but I can't quite feel sympathy for Asra Q. Nomani who says that she signed off on the film and gave approval because she was 'seduced by Hollywood.' It's not much of an excuse for letting them take a person you loved and cared about-be used as a vehicle for two very egotistical actors to make themselves some money and feel self important.
I would have believed better and more fully that it was an ego boost to be wooed by Hollywood but much more importantly, when Mariane sold the rights to her book, she sold her right to control the way Daniel Pearl was presented. And thereby, the author of the article above never really had a say in how her former friend was presented because it was Mariane's choice.
A common and overlooked issue in Hollywood is that most writer's of scripts or even the book writers have no real say in how the final product turns out. That is up to the Producers and the Director. Some writers do fight for more control and usually end up with a swift kick in the face once the product was sold. As one co-worker at E! Entertainment told me there is a struggle usually for the integrity of the piece 'the writer says this is my script! And the Director says but this is MY MOVIE.' And if the writer wants to continue working they shut up and take it most of the time, it takes years of work and investment to have a say in how the script and movie finally turn out for the writers.
It was a major reason why I never wanted to work in Hollywood, there is nothing worse for a writer than sweating and bleeding over a piece to see it get chopped up. Although the money can be nice and for the starved, an ample treat.
My point is at least Asra Q. Nomani of this piece did stop to state that it was a vehicle for the once entertaining now annoying Saint Angelina Jolie to once again feel self important and promote her work with the U.N. And at least she stood up to say it missed the most important points about this man that made him so charismatic and important to those who knew him.
I can't help but think though that a further investigation into this death is fruitless. He was killed by Islamic fascists who hated him for being a Jew and an American, it's pretty clear. That's it, any further digging will reveal nothing more, but may in fact make those doing the searching feel more horrible and lost at the horror of someone being snatched up and killed.
I am being tough but I think it's also impotant to remember that he was taking his life in his hands and some would say being irresponsible by leaving his wife while pregnant, to chase down terrorists. On the other hand, we need good journalists to take risks to get good information for the public back home.
One upside is that Mariane should be set for life and able to take good care of Pearl's son with the money from the book and film.

Passion, Food, and Ugh the Slugsmiths.
So I watched a little of Passions yesterday being the stay at home writer that I am..this was once a great soap for me in college. But somewhere between the Tabitha story lines and the annoying plot line of Teresa and that guy she loves but can't have... I stopped.
The Soup guy Joel McHale said the show is set to go off the air in two months on last week's show, which would explain the weirdness of the plotlines at this point. They've got a double gender muderous psychopath, who obviously has too much time on his/her hands to shop for costumes, and a gay guy(Chad) that commited adultery with another man, who wants to go back to his now estranged wife?
Really, can we just stop the Chad plotline here, never in all the soaps I have watched in my sick day/summertime life have I ever seen one that tried to make a plot where the adulterous person returns to their partner without some reason that basically cancels out the reason for the affair in the first place.
Seriously, just look at Days of Our Lives, they have been on for years, they don't employ weird witch plots and strange characters nearly as much as Passions and they have been on a lot longer. Go figure. There was a short demon posession series in the late 90's and there is always Stefano Dimera. But more importantly when their characters have affairs it's always under the excuse of brainwashing, blackmail, drug induced, or the result of being somehow not in control of their faculties. It's weird, it's far fetched, it's not even plausible, but at least it's not a plot where the character in question cheated because they really enjoyed sex with someone other than their partner while being fully cognizant. That just makes the point of reconcilliatin pointless for me and I suspect most viewers. Really, Writers do something else with this plot.
The plot would make more sense at this point if Chad just left Whitney and moved in with his lover in a cottage next to Tabitha by the sea. Oh and Ivy is getting back with Julian?? Huh, that's so weird after the last 8 years, they were fun in the beginning of the show.
I think this explains more, apparently the Chad character will not be continuing with the show.
Moving on-why is Fox News now name dropping food brands to viewers in the middle of broadcasts? I'm in the gym working out watching Fox and Neil Cavuto told me, well and the audience, to go get a Cinnabon and relax. Uh, okay. Can't I just get a snack?
Only a few minutes earlier, Shepard Smith told me to go get some popcorn. Either this network is really into people becoming couch potatoes and watching their shows or they are getting lots of ad money to name drop products to viewers, especially food products.
And here is my final thought, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, those annoying people from that MTV show The Hills just won't go the %^$^@ away! Their dumb, boring, and annoying people. Oh what the hey, I'd probably like them if they would just stop it! I've decided to name them the Slugsmiths, I mean they want to act like a happy married couple and all! They keep showing up in US Weekly and I'm pretty sure it's because they are getting publicity because someone is paid to get it for them... I'm just trying to figure out who is paying, MTV? Gatorade? A tidbit just ran saying they were drinking it...their own parents?? Whatever the case, I can't wait until the money runs out and space is made for more interesting people in this magazine.

Rihanna: Good Girl Gone Bad
So I have been sick and recovering from a series spider bites, very gross and painful, which have led me to look into moving from my current apartment. It's such a pain in the mental sense, mold, dust and pollen, and super mean spiders all on my first floor apartment..
Anyways, so I have this thought that I have been mulling over since I first saw Rihanna's video for her song 'Umbrella' which she also performed at the MTV Movie Awards. The footage shot at the shows was pretty bad, it cut off most of the dance moves and was hard to watch-like there's a part where she's obviously shaking her hips for the audience and you can't see what she's doing, you have to just guess from the look on her face that it's something special??
Eh, So here is the something that I have been pondering now that you have seen her video or at least one performance of the song. Why are the clothes S&M with lots of black and men running around in night army gear in the video?? The song for the most part is really upbeat and cutesy-she does wear black ballet point shoes in the video, what is the underlying point?
Is it to highlight Jay'Z's gold sneakers? Is it to make everyone look more sexy? Is it to emphasize that Rihanna is tough and not just a good girl anymore?? Is it just to look cool and avant garde?? I think all of the above and then some-
I think the point is to highlight that the song is not really so happy go lucky, at one point the lyrics say 'when the world has broke you apart, when the world has dealt it's cards, we'll stand together, I'll mend your heart.' I think the black is to symbolize that life is tough, the losses can be higher than the gains, no matter how great your life turns out. So, to say to someone I'll be there no matter what is a very serious and sobering thought. And depending on your life, this song highlights a complicated life, it can be very painful and hard to be there with someone through the very serious 'rain' in life.

ihasahuh??
There is a new fad in town, and one that I love very much, it is described in this article.
It's basically a tech geek fad combined with animal loving. I first got in touch with the fad through this website www.ihasabucket.com. The fad has become so popular that there is even a facebook group that is all about ihasabucket jokes and pictures. Most of the best pictures are of a walrus and cats, but there are pictures of the President, a rather funny satire of Al Gore and his loss in 2000, and even pictures of babies.
At this time I find that I end up changing my screensaver all the time so I can always have a fresh and funny picture of something from the ihasabucket cache. I highly recommend checking it out, because it's actually a great mood elevator.
