No more Rosie

So today it was announced and I am sure you have already heard that Rosie O'Donnell will not be staying with the view. The network said they wanted three years for a contract, she wanted one and there was a mention of too much money being asked for-Barbara Walters has nothing to do with it...supposedly, but she is 50% of the show so I don't know how that works..

I'm convinced it has to do with the fact that while she raised ratings, I don't think she raised them in the kind of way that would bring in more sponsors and it was a only a matter of time before she dropped something really big-the 9/11 conspiracy by our government was pretty bad, but it can get worse. And then what do you do when your current sponsors leave? Uh oh.

It's been obvious something was up, she was way too nice to Elizabeth Hasslebeck this week. I thought maybe they just dropped the show drama of Rosie being a bully, but..that doesn't seem realistic.

Also, if you watched Barbara in recent weeks she looked like she was going to loose her mind if Rosie didn't get less belligerent and indiscreet. Really, she was spouting bad information all the time and her put down on EH last week over abortion was really weird . I also know no one at a major network wants a show that gets people riled in the blogosphere the way she was..the execs still remember Dan Rather's lesson from 2004. Booyah!

Oh well, I suppose she will go back to her life and a new show soon, and I will learn to like her more again like I did when she was on her talk show in the 90's and crooned over Tom Cruise. Ock, there's another one that makes me feel gross to look at now.
